Tryouts are quickly approaching — here are a few reminders to keep you on track!

• Applications & Tryout fee of $30: due on May 31st by midnight.
(Any late submissions will accrue a 5 point deduction towards final score.)

• Only 1 open gym left! Friday, May 31st, 6-8pm in East Court.

• Clinic SUNDAY, June 2nd, 9am-2pm in the Dempsey. Register to hold your place!

Tryouts will be held in Marv Harshman Court
• Dance Team: Monday, June 3 & Wednesday, June 5 from 5:30-8:30 pm
• Cheer Squad: Tuesday, June 4 & Wednesday, June 5 from 5:30-9:00 pm
• June 6: Team meeting and uniform fitting for both Cheer and Dance

UW CHEER REQUIREMENTS

MOTIONS
Basic Motions/Sideline
(Purple, Gold, Let’s Go Dawgs!)

DANCE
• CHEER DANCE w/Sideline (sideline from front, sideline from back)
• SOLO Home Routine
• 4-5 non repeating EIGHT Counts (your style of choice)
• Include 1 standing Tumbling Element
• Music Pre-selected by staff

TUMBLING:
Females
• Standing Backhandspring (Minimum)
• Standing Tuck
• Standing Backhandspring Back Tuck
• Running Tumbling
• Round off Backhandspring (Minimum)
Males
•  (No Minimum)

STUNTING
• 2 Stunts any level — BASIC STUNT
• Be prepared to show more difficult skills (Toss Stunts, 1 Arm Stunts, Twisting Skills)

INTERVIEW
Potential for interview. Remember you are constantly being “judged”, make a good impression.
